SPX has designed, engineered, installed, and commissioned over 300 APV distillation systems over the past 75 years. SPX maintains a distillation pilot plant in Getzville, NY. Non-ideal systems are tested to guarantee the required separation.

Distillation has always been one of the most energy-intensive unit operations, and recent fuel costs have made forced designs to higher levels of efficiency.
