What is a homogenizer?

The homogeniser is a machine consisting of a positive displacement pump that delivers pressurised fluid to a homogenising valve and a valve assembly designed for a specific application.

The pump maintains a constant flow even when fluid pressure increases due to the restriction in flow area created by the homogenising valve. The pump forces the product under pressure through a small adjustable gap between the valve seat and the valve, causing turbulence and intense mixing.
