With more than 3000 plate and tubular evaporator references all over the world within the dairy, food, brewery, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, APV Systems possesses the broadest experience within the field of evaporation processing. APV has the widest range of tubular and plate evaporators including falling film, rising / falling film, forced circulation and natural circulation and has the proven ability to combine this technology with in-house knowledge about membrane filtration, spray drying, and distillation. |
Typical applications are:
- Milk and milk products
- Sweetened condensed milk
- WPC35, WPC60 and WPC80
- Whey and whey permeate
- Fruit juice (tropical, citrus, temperate)
- Coffee, tea
- Sugar (different types)
- Vitamins, pharmaceuticals
- Various teas and herb extracts
- Various proteins e.g. blood or gelatin
- Various broths e.g. chicken beef
- Bulk chemicals
- Waste water
- Black liquor
- Caustic (NaOH)
- Electrolyte
- Spent waste water (distilleries)
- Dyestuff production
- General waste water
The principles of evaporation:
- The product to be concentrated is separated from the heating medium by a tube wall, or a flat curved plate
- The typical heating medium is steam or vapor
- The system can be evacuated in order to lower the boiling temperature
- The evaporated vapor can be reused as heating medium often in combination with either mechanical or thermal recompression.
