Design Engineering

APV is equipped with advanced 2D and 3D modelling systems for process and piping design. The system generates:

Process Engineering

As well as being experienced in designing processing lines for most known food products, APV is also a valuable partner to customers when it comes to designing innovative processing lines for entirely new products.

The safe and hygienic processing of food products is becoming ever more important as public awareness of food safety continues to increase. Therefore our plant design is based on the latest international standards and recommendations for hygienic design.

We make use of the newest plant design tools such as 3D modelling and plant walk facilities, which provide enhanced possibilities for customers and engineers to review the virtual plant model before the design is finally decided upon.

Project Management

The design, procurement, supply, installation and commissioning of food processing plants incorporating the latest equipment, automation and services, call for an exceptionally high level of project management skills.

Where process partners or sub-contractors are involved, we take the lead in keeping tight control through the use of systems such as merchanted equipment specifications and similar control documents and procedures.

Service Engineering

APV's capabilities in engineering naturally also include electrical and utility design, which along withour strong process engineering and automation engineering capabilities provides for total engineering solutions.

The electrical design and the utility design (including design for steam, water, compressed air & other necessary services for the processing plant) is made with a view to optimising the total engineering solution.

We are highly conscious of the demand for environmentally acceptable utility services. Energy optimisation through sound design principles is a natural part of our dairy work and waste minimisation as well as health and safety issues are always in focus.
