DELTA CU Control Unit

APV DELTA CU Control Unit

Unrivalled top performance!

APV was first in the market when we introduced the famous "Red Top" control unit almost 20 years ago. Now we are first to introduce a new generation of control units designed to meet both the demands of modern automated processing, and the challenges of the wet and aggressive environments of the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. On the basis of our "Red Tops" long successful track record we have created a new control unit with improved performance and a number of new features that make it unique in the market.

Features & benefits

Multi-voltage operation
Designed for multi-voltage operation, i.e. both for solenoid valves and feed back switches. This means that one type of control unit covers all the most common voltages.

Electronic fuse protected
The solenoid valve is protected in case of voltage spikes and the Hall proximity switches are also protected against reverse polarity.

No external plugs
All electrical wires run directly to the screw terminal which reduces the risk of corrosion and water ingress considerably.

Clear signals
LED-indicators display valve position as well as power and solenoid status.

Detachable control head with quick release coupling
Air or electricity does not have to be disconnected during maintenance. One single grip separates actuator and control head completely and blocks off the air supply. This feature greatly facilitates maintenance and replacement, and furthermore, all electric components remain 100% sealed off from the ambient environment.

One control head fits a variety of valve types
The control head is mounted on an adapter which is screwed onto the actuator. This means that with different adapters, the same control head may be used on many different valve types and sizes.

Built-in throttle valve
Opening and closing speed for the valve actuator can be easily regulated by means of two built-in throttle valves.

Silencer fitted as standard equipment
The standard mounted silencer considerably reduces the unpleasant noise from the air exhaust and therefore enhances working conditions. As an option, a hose may be fitted here to lead away exhaust air.

Manual activation possible
The valve can be manually activated, if required, for instance in connection with adjustment of the Hall-element.

Prepared for:

  • 2 cable connections which facilitates use of external sensors
  • Centred CIP-connection
  • 3 solenoid valves
