Operator Graphics System
OGS provides
- Dynamic graphical representation of plant status
- Operator interaction with the plant using a mouse
- Trending of process variables
- Alarm handling
- Diagnostics for the control system
Picture structures are configured in a hierarchical series, more
detail being obtained by pointing and clicking. Dialogue boxes
appear prompting for parameters and presenting options. Once
selected the commands are transferred to the control system to
initiate the operation.

Connection is either by a serial link to a single ACCOS control system or via a network so that up to 254 systems can be monitored and controlled from a single OGS station.
