Unit Process Control

The ACCOS 31P system is ideally suited for the control of unit operations such as pasteurisers, UHT plants, CIP sets or unit machines such as compressors, mixers, batching systems, extruders and packaging equipment.

Recognising this, APVhas built into the ACCOS 31P a host of user friendly features:

  • Software package to layout the screen and to define function keys
  • Graphical and textual representation of data
  • Software configurable function keys
  • Colour graphic facilities for full process mimics
  • Printer for hard copy

The combination of graphical and hard copy gives the user the windows necessary toachieve optimum plant performance.

Fault finding and diagnostics

Process and application packages contain comprehensive process and equipment diagnostics to simplify the task of identifying procedures in plant operation or equipment. These include

Operating software includes a comprehensive set of diagnostic routines which provide detailed data on the internal performance of the system, showing any malfunctions which occur. This data is accessed via the diagnostic port on the ACCOS 31P CPU, using a personal computer or VDU, and includes:

  • Memory tests (EPROM / RAM)
  • CPU functions
  • I / O module status
  • Application program status

Easy to programme



In common with all other APV's automation equipment, the ACCOS 31P uses Paracode process control language. Paracode is sequential in operation and comprises an English language instruction set (also available in other major European languages). Programs are developed by process engineers, providing a high productivity environment for software enhancement.

Application programs are configured on a PC, using APV's comprehensive software tool kit which helps users in the preparation of data and in fault finding.

Alternative application languages are also available.
